Translation or interpreting?
Deciding if you need translation or interpreting services depends on whether you need a text translated or speeches at a live event.
Interpreting is conveying a speaker’s meaning, usually in real-time. Each assignment is carefully prepared ensuring that I understand the language appropriate for the topic and the audience.
As a translator, it’s my job to faithfully replicate a text in another language. As much of my translation work is related to literature and poetry, it is essential to understand the register, language standard and the author’s intention behind each word.
Not all interpreters can translate and not all translators work as interpreters. I offer both services and can advise you on what kind of translation or interpreting would be most appropriate for you.
